Bachat Khata ("the App", "we", "us") is a personal finance and savings management application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and phone number when you sign up or log in.
• Financial Data You Enter: Income, expenses, savings entries, committee (rotating savings) records, budgets, and related notes you manually add within the App.
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version, used for debugging and improving compatibility.
• Usage Data: App interactions and crash reports, used to improve stability and performance.

We do not collect your bank account credentials, card numbers, or connect directly to your bank accounts. All financial figures are manually entered by you.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To sync and back up your data across your devices
• To provide core app features (budgeting, savings tracking, committee/Zakat calculations)
• To improve app performance and fix bugs
• To send important account or service-related notifications

We do not sell your personal or financial data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption, either locally on your device and/or on secure cloud infrastructure (Firebase/Supabase servers). We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

The App may use the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

• You may request full account and data deletion by contacting us (see below).
• You may disable analytics/crash reporting from your device settings where supported.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

Bachat Khata is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
